PRP Facelift
The first phase of the Vampire Facelift® involves the use of PRP or “liquid gold”, which is known as the “vampire” part of the procedure. PRP is not a filler. It’s a regenerative treatment that involves using the body’s own wound healing and regenerative Growth Factors to improve skin tone and texture, and reduce age-related. The Growth Factors help repair cells, recruit other cells to assist in repair and destroy damaged cells.
After an in depth consultation, blood is drawn (similar to a standard blood test) and then spun in a centrifuge system, to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the other blood elements. The PRP is then injected with tiny needles into the superficial layers of the skin (called mesotherapy).
Although PRP can be used as a treatment on its own, many choose the full Vampire Facelift® experience with fillers added, for more immediate results.
This procedure is used to to treat fine lines and slight sagging on the lower areas of the face (chin, etc.) and to treat laxity in the décolleté area. It can also be used to treat cellulite, acne scars and even hair loss. Crow’s feet around the eye area can also be treated with PRP.
Vampire Facelift® / PRP can take four weeks for results to become apparent, with improvements often seen after 6-12 weeks. PRP Facial
Each member of our team is trained and certified in this unique medical micro needling procedure, using the Rejuvapen for “collagen induction therapy” also referred to as “CIT”. Tiny needles placed into the dermis cause the skin to respond with collagen which softens the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and superficial sun damage.
PRP delivered into the dermis further enhances the micro needling treatment so that collagen is stimulated by the growth factors in the platelet rich plasma (PRP). PRP also stimulates blood supply to the skin, which creates a glow and luster in the skin, unique to platelet rich plasma.
